First and foremost, use safe methods for installation and read all instructions before installing any portion of the kit. Be sure you understand all aspects of the required procedures before installing or contact a qualified race car preparation shop or an automotive (Porsche) technician for a professional installation. Unpack the product and be sure all parts listed on your original invoice are present.

Trial fit the bar to ensure no damage occurred during shipping. Then finish the bar as desired, for example paint, powdercoat, etc. If there is any evidence of shipping damage contact the shipping company immediately to report the incident.

1) Cabriolet owners: seat removal is not required; just drop the top to get the bar into place. Remove the rear floor mats, exposing the metal floor.
2) Remove the rear passenger seat belt receptacles mounted on the outer area of the rear passenger seat bottoms. These will not be reinstalled while the bar is installed. Remove the sandwich plates at the main hoop’s mounting flanges by loosening the six 10mm bolts with nylocs.
3) Place the bar carefully into the vehicle using two people to guide it carefully, preventing upholstery damage or back strain. Begin to line up all the mounting holes. Align the rear legs first, with the dowels on the rear legs aligned to the seatbelt receptacle threaded lugs on the chassis. Start to thread the supplied AN7/16” aircraft bolts at the rear legs. DO NOT TIGHTEN, just begin to thread the bolts into the lugs. Be sure to use the supplied washers in conjunction with the rear bolts, this ensures the shoulder does not bottom out on the lug’s flange.
4) Mark the floor for drilling, using the foot plate at the base of the main hoop as the template. Be sure the bar is in the proper position, so that no under chassis items are damaged. Pass the bolts through the floor, place the sandwich plates on the underside of the car then only LOOSELY fasten the 10mm bolts with nylocs.
5) Begin to tighten the rear AN7/16”aircraft bolts equally at the rear, then tighten the six 10mm bolts with nylocs at the base of the main hoop. Avoid cross-threading and use wise judgment with hand tools, do not use air or electric tools during installation. Use of blue Loctite on the threads is recommended.
6) Only after all the bolts are properly threaded, final tighten all hardware to the following specs. Torque the rear AN7/16” bolts to 55ft pounds and the front 10mm bolts with nylocs to effectively sandwich the floor between the upper and lower main hoops mounting plates.
7) Double check your installation. Install the supplied serial number decal on the bar where described on the opposite side of this sheet. Check front seat belt operation before driving the vehicle.
